Building management

To set up a new building or manage an existing building go to Settings->Buildings, here you will find a list of all the buildings associated with you business. (Business are currently managed by Pathfindr).

To create a business scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Add new building'.

When creating your building the following fields are available:

Name: The name of the building which will appear in the portal for navigation

Business: Which business the building belongs to

Site: Which site the building is on

Floor: Which floor of the building are you uploading plans for

Width: This is used to estimate scales and position of the parts on the floor plan, It doesn't have to be mm perfect but try to give a good estimate of the width of the floor plan image you upload.

Floor plan: This is the image that will be used to show the location of the assets, the more detail you add to this map the easier it will be to find your parts. We recommend commonly know landmarks in the building as a bare minimum.

The file type must be: SVG, PNG, JPEG, GIF

Once you have Saved the building information you can now define its location.

You can either manually find the building location or use the Search field. Once you have the correct location use the Polygon shape to draw the outline of the building.

You can give the building a name and change the style and colours.

If you have uploaded a floorplan image this can be overlayed on to the building outline on the Map. The floorplan image can be rotated and the width and height adjusted.
