Asset Definitions

What is an Asset definition?

Asset definitions are collections of attributes appropriate to a specific asset. Think of them as the link between attributes and assets.

How are they associated to assets?

Asset definitions are linked to assets via the part number/type. When launching a new asset on Pathfindr the system will automatically look for an Asset definition that matched the part number entered. If no matching set is found you will be asked to choose from a list of generic asset types, or to launch with no additional attributes.

Creating an Asset definition?

Editing an Asset definition?

On the Edit Asset definitions page you can choose the default asset attributes for the part no./asset type.

All available definitions are included in the Available list on the right. These can be dragged and dropped into the Selected box to add them to the Asset definition.
