Pair Tags with GPS trackers

Asset groups are commonly used for condition monitoring where a standard Detector is not in range and the GPS tracker sends Tag data to the portal.

The GPS tracker is the 'parent' and Tag the 'child', binded after launch via the Edit Tracker page. Tags need to be within proximity of the GPS tracker, up to ~20m with clear line of sight, noting metal objects can obstruct BLE signal.

Launch trackers

Launch your GPS and Tags separately.

Configure Asset Group

Via the part page, click 'Edit Asset' > 'Asset Group'

Type the asset or Tag serial number into the text box

Click on the correct result > 'Add' > 'Save'

Install Trackers

Install / position Tags and GPS trackers

Check you can get a signal from your GPS tracker on or in your asset by triple pressing the button to force a data broadcast

Check the GPS part page after a few minutes to see if broadcast has been successful

Data will start logging once your GPS broadcasts. This can be configured via 'Edit Tracker Settings'
